-Born and raised in Central Texas

*How did you get interested in Crossfit?
-I enjoyed being active but didn’t know exactly what to do; I knew how to run but that is about it. I would go to the gym, get on a treadmill and then wander around. That is when I came in on a Saturday and tried a community WOD and I never turned back.
*When your motivation is down, how do find the drive to get up and come in?
- Motivation comes from wanting to better myself. I don’t want to be unhappy or unhealthy, I want to continue to enjoy the life I have built for myself thus far. Also, the members help me stay motivated. If you miss a day someone will be there checking in on you and making sure you are okay and to tell you to come back!
*What is your least favorite movement?
Movements… wink emoticon rowing, airdyne, and thrusters. I may not enjoy them but I know they make me better…I think.
What is your next goal that Crossfit Cataclysm can help you reach?
-To continue to challenge me and help me improve my weaknesses, like the wonderful movements I mentioned above.
What would you say to someone that has never tried Crossfit and is looking to get started? Tips, advice?
Why not Crossfit? Everybody should try it out and see why many enjoy it. Crossfit it for everyone, it is scalable, challenging, fun, exciting, and intense. The environment is positive and infectious, the athletes are a community, and they will cheer you on, pick you up, and they push you to try harder. Crossfit isn’t just a workout; you get so much more when you find the right Box. I say if you have hit a plateau, never worked out, looking for something new, or just unsure of what it is, try it out. The first step is making it through the door; the rest will fall into place. Remember to believe in yourself, ask questions, listen to your body and advice, push yourself, come in with an open mind, and most importantly have a good time!
